A True Story of a Queen
As infants, we are born into this world in our purest and most perfect form. Born equal to all mankind. From birth forward, however, we are shaped by our surroundings. But even as little girls, not fully aware of the social stereotypes or limitations others would place upon us, we are queens. We are queens before we even know what it takes to be a Queen.
We dream lofty dreams that have a unique feminine spirit. But our girlhood spirits are often snuffed out by the time we become women. Our dreams are slowly, yet steadily put to rest alongside our prepubescent bodies in a glass coffin, often never to be recovered.
As we go through puberty into womanhood, we succumb to worldly pressures of fitting in with or comparison to the Joneses which continue to render us defenseless. After many years of living life according to what society thinks we should or should not do, we find ourselves stuck in an invisible cage. Only to realize the cage was there all along that we actually were bred in captivity, we begin flutter to and fro looking for our release.
As we fuss over unnecessary matters, we may at some point a reminding glimpse into our past dreams sealed away. Or we may have adopted a whole new set of false dreams which were persistently and deliberately lodged into our subconscious over time making them seem real. These seemingly real dreams fashion our every thought, word, and deed as we fall further and further away from the truth of who we really are.
Lulled to sleep now by our own realities formed within our own understanding of who we think we are, we march on completely unaware that the cadence of our steps matches perfectly to the mesmerizing tune of our culture’s magic pipe. Until one day, the melody we have rehearsed in our minds for most of our adult years is found to be inharmonious never to sound true to us again.
It is then that we go searching for the steady refrain of what truly makes us dance. Searching under every unturned rock finding parts of the refrain here and there. Only the lucky will search hard and long enough to return to the woods and stumble upon the dream entombed in the glass coffin. Recognizing the memory of who we knew we were then, we will find ourselves at a crossroads. We can choose in that moment to lift the heavy glass and breath new life into that dream, or, turn away in order to salvage the life we feel we have worked so hard for.
A woman who turns away from the dream is still just the same woman of circumstance. A woman who dares to supply new life to her dreams is a changed woman indeed. She is one who defines her circumstances and molds her future. She is able to see all her innermost desires realized and begins to blossom into the true queen of her life.
The bold stepping out process of a becoming queen typically happens as a result of some life event or events that appears to be the result of outside circumstances. Once she can clearly see the thoughts and deeds which confined her were her very own, she can set herself free and take her seat. Once seated, her spirit will release an energy so strong that the Universe has no choice but to comply to her every wish. All the necessary materials are drawn to her and stand at attention awaiting her command.
But before her kingdom can at last be built, the queen must above all else love and accept herself completely and in so doing will see that her heart and spirit are beautiful and pure. This beauty will radiate for all to see. She must also recognize that within her very being rests the very source of the power that creates worlds and so deems herself, rightfully so, Divine. She accepts her divinity with servant humility and summons the co-creative forces, and, finally watches her kingdom unfold before her very eyes…more beautiful than imagined.
As she steps back to take in her manifested creation with deep gratitude to all that is, the Queen smiles remembering the strength and courage it took to believe…in herself…in her beauty…and in the beauty of her dream.
Armed with the truth, she then turns to her purpose of reminding every woman she meets of their own inner perfection and inspires them to take their rightful seat in their own life. And for those who are not able to be reached, she bows her head and prays for their souls to someday be complete.
